Emanuela Forestieri Gama-Rodrigues is an associate professor in the Organic Matter and Soil Biology Sector at the Soil Laboratory of Darcy Ribeiro North Fluminense State University. Her research interests include carbon sequestration, soil aggregation, the chemical composition of soil organic matter, and carbon stabilization and turnover in forest and agroforestry soils, mainly in cocoa systems. Her broad research perspective includes the economic valuation of ecosystem services in the context of the carbon market and an interdisciplinary approach toward the adoption of production systems with a reduced carbon footprint.
