This is an Erratum of the publsihed paper: White paper: definitions of artificial intelligence and autonomous actions in clinical surgery.

For reasons of a clerical error, the original article omitted the information of Mohammad Abu-Hilal when published. As a result, the original author team of this paper needs to add an author: Mohammad Abu Hilal. The author contributed to the publication of this paper as follows: conceptualization, validation, review & editing.

Signed versions of informed consent have been obtained for all authors and all agree to make corrections. The authors apologize for any inconvenience caused and state that the scientific conclusions are unaffected.
