Figure 4. Key barriers and developmental pathways for the clinical translation of adipose-derived therapeutics. The clinical translation of adipose-derived therapeutics is mainly constrained by heterogeneity, incomplete mechanistic understanding, insufficient standardization, limited delivery efficiency, weak clinical evidence, and unclear regulatory pathways.
