C57BL/6J mice (n = 7-12 per group) were subjected to RSD (exposure to a same-sex CD-1 aggressor mouse for 2 h/day for 6 consecutive days); 12 h after the final bout of social defeat, subject mice were then euthanized and tissues were collected and homogenized. Cytokine/chemokine protein expression was measured by ELISA.
