Bio
María Rosa Mosquera-Losada is a Distinguished Professor and Coordinator of the Doctoral Programme in Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). Her research areas include grasslands and integrated land-use systems including agroforestry and agroecology. As the coordinator of the Thematic Network AFINET to foster knowledge exchange between scientists and practitioners on agroforestry, she has been the leader of several regional, national, and international projects. Dr. Mosquera-Losada has established three research-driven networks of agroforestry in Galicia, Spain, through the AGFORWARD project. She is the chair of the Arable Crop working group of the Global Research Alliance (official IPPC observer) and the “Enabling Environment Working Group” of the Global Alliance for Climate-Smart Agriculture (FAO), and a past president (2012 – 2018) of the European Agroforestry Federation (EURAF). Professor Mosquera-Losada has published extensively as an author and editor, and serves on the editorial boards of some leading international journals.
