Dr. Laura Bulgariu is a Professor at the “Cristofor Simionescu” Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection, the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iaşi since 2019. In 2013, she obtained a habilitation in Environmental engineering. Her research area includes theoretical and experimental aspects related to the removal of heavy metal ions from aqueous media, using methods with low impact on the environment (“environmental-friendly methods”). The obtained results have been concretized in the publication of over 230 papers, books, and book chapters. She currently holds research grants from the Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research and various private companies. She is a laureate of the Romanian Academy in the geosciences domain.
