Pierre Sabouret, MD, PhD is a senior cardiologist at the Heart Institute, Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital (AP-HP), Sorbonne University, Paris, France, and a Senior Research Member of the ACTION Group. His clinical and research expertise focuses on interventional and preventive cardiology, with particular interests in acute coronary syndromes, cardiovascular risk reduction, lipid-lowering therapies, and secondary prevention.
Dr. Sabouret currently serves as an Executive Committee Member for Education of the European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) (2025–2028) and has been an EAS Social Media Ambassador since 2022. He is also President of the National College of French Cardiologists (CNCF) (2021–2024), having previously served as President of its Scientific Committee (2018–2021) and General Secretary (2015–2018).
In addition, he is Associate Editor of Minerva Cardiology and Angiology (since 2021) and Associate Editor of Archives of Medical Science (since 2021). He has contributed extensively to international cardiovascular research and education, with numerous publications in high-impact journals and active involvement in guideline development and global scientific collaborations.

Prof. Carl J. Lavie, M.D., FACC, FACP, FCCP, is an internationally renowned cardiologist and Professor of Medicine at the John Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute, New Orleans, USA, where he serves as Medical Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Preventive Cardiology. He is also Director of the Exercise Testing Laboratory and a staff cardiologist at Ochsner Health.
Prof. Lavie is widely recognized as one of the world's most influential scholars in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular rehabilitation. His research spans exercise-based interventions, cardiometabolic risk reduction, lipid management, hypertension, and obesity, with findings that have shaped clinical practice guidelines and global cardiovascular prevention strategies.
