Topic: Aesthetic face and hand repair with supermicrosurgery
Prof. Koshima is the past president of World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, executive director of the Japanese Society of Lymphology, and honorary president of International Society of Lymphology. He is a world authority in many areas of plastic surgery including supermicrosurgery (flap transfer with vascular anastomosis around 0.5mm), perforator flaps, head and neck reconstruction (muscle transfer and vascular nerve flaps for facial palsy, vascularized fat flap for lipodystrophy and sclerodermia, irradiated severe facial deformity, mandibular loss etc.) and lymphedema (surgical treatments LVA, node transfer and liposuction).
Speaker(s)
Dr. Shogo Nagamatsu
Assistant Professor, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Hiroshima University Hospital, Hiroshima, Japan.
Topic: Recycling and reusing of previous bone and cartilage graft for aesthetic reconstruction after traumatic facial deformity: case presentation
Topic: Recycling and reusing of previous bone and cartilage graft for aesthetic reconstruction after traumatic facial deformity: case presentation
Dr. Nagamatsu is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon working at Hiroshima University Hospital. He completed his training in microvascular and reconstructive surgery at two high-volume cancer center, Shizuoka Cancer Center and National Cancer Center East, Japan. His activity used to be focused on head and neck reconstruction and breast reconstruction, but recently, as a general plastic surgeon at university hospital, he covers congenital anomaly and trauma deformity. He just noticed that various fields of plastic surgery bring hints and ideas to each other, and he is trying to pursue that fascination.
Dr. Solji Roh
Assistant professor, International Center for Lymphedema, Hiroshima University Hospital, Hiroshima, Japan.
Topic: Hand esthetic reconstruction
Topic: Hand esthetic reconstruction
Dr. Roh is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon working at Hiroshima University Hospital. Her recent activity is focused on lymphedema surgery, such as, lymphaticovenous anastmosis (LVA), lymph node transplantation or lymph duct transplantation, but, as a microsurgeon, she also performs facial paralysis surgery, breast reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery or cosmetic surgery.
Prof. Zeng-Tao Wang
Professor and Chairman, Department of Hand and Foot Surgery, Provincial Hospital of Shandong University, Jinan, Shandong, China.
Topic: The 3F concept of digital reconstruction
Topic: The 3F concept of digital reconstruction
Professor Wang is good at hand and foot functional reconstruction, limb replantation, finger reconstruction and hand and foot related diseases. It is the first to create a series of new operations for toe reshaping and finger reconstruction and full shape finger reconstruction, making the shape and function of the reconstructed finger more perfect and less damaging to the foot. Breakthroughs have been made in the research field of hypothermia medicine, and the replantation of rat limbs and human severed fingers under deep hypothermia (- 196℃ for 81 days) has been successfully completed. In China, he first reported the hand micro tissue block replantation, non-section osteotomy replantation, the anatomical relationship between the cutaneous branch of the vascular muscle space and the intermuscular tissue, the vascular chain flap, etc.
