Speaker(s)

Prof. Erkai He
Erkai He is a professor and doctoral supervisor who has long been engaged in research on the ecological effects and risk assessment of soil pollutants, achieving fruitful results. He has presided over 11 research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Research and Development Program. He has published over 80 papers in top international and mainstream journals in the field, such as Environmental Science & Technology, Water Research, and Environmental Int, and has applied for and been granted 5 national invention patents. He has received the "Outstanding Young Scientist Award" from the Guangdong Provincial Soil Science Society and the "Outstanding Young Scholar Award in Pollution Ecology" from the Ecological Society of China. As a co-author, he has also received the Second Prize of Science and Technology Award from the Soil Science Society of China, the Science and Technology Award from the Guangdong Provincial Soil Science Society, and the First Prize of Science and Technology Award for Environmental Protection from Guangdong Province. He serves as the associate editor of Environmental Management, a member of the Youth Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Applied Ecology, and an invited associate editor of a special issue of Journal of Ecotoxicology.

Prof. Zhenghua Duan
Duan Zhenghua is a professor and doctoral supervisor, a member of the Tianjin Toxicology Society Committee, and an expert reviewer for the Tianjin Municipal Agricultural and Rural Affairs Administrative Licensing Review. She is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor. Her research focuses on the toxicity detection, health risks, ecological effects, and toxic mechanisms of emerging environmental pollutants (including microplastics and nanoplastics). She particularly emphasizes using zebrafish technology platforms and organoid technology to explore the accumulation behavior, toxic effects, and molecular mechanisms of environmental pollutants in organisms. She has led numerous national and regional joint research projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, regional joint funds, and youth funds; the 46th batch of projects funded by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation; special grants from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation; and research projects funded by the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission. She is also committed to strengthening industry-academia-research collaboration, using zebrafish ("water rats") for live water quality testing, chemical safety assessment, and environmental pollutant risk assessment, and providing consulting services for watershed ecological environment improvement and transformation. She has published numerous research papers as first author or corresponding author in top international journals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, such as Environmental Science & Technology, Journal of Hazardous Materials, and Environment International, many of which have been widely cited. He was awarded the title of "Outstanding Young Master's Supervisor" by Tianjin University of Technology in 2024.

Prof. Zhuozhi Ouyang
Zhuozhi Ouyang is a professor and doctoral supervisor whose research focuses on the environmental geochemical behavior and ecological effects of tire particles. He was selected for the "Shaanxi Provincial Association for Science and Technology's Young Talent Support Program" and was included in the "Top 2% of Global Scientists" list in 2025. He also serves as the deputy director of the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering and previously served as the deputy director (deputy division level) of the Talent Work Leading Group Office of the Yangling Demonstration Zone Party Working Committee. He is also a mentor for the "Voluntary Environmental Protection Association" at Northwest A&F University. He is a member of the youth editorial board of core Chinese science and technology journals such as Acta Pedologica Sinica, Journal of Agricultural Environmental Science, Industrial Water Treatment, Journal of Aquatic Ecology, and Environmental Science and Technology. He is an expert in the Shaanxi Provincial Cleaner Production Association Expert Database, the Shaanxi Provincial Water Ecological Environment Expert Database, and the Shaanxi Provincial Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection Expert Database. He was also selected as one of the third batch of "Young Scholars" in ecological and environmental protection by the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League. He has long served as a reviewer for mainstream journals in the field of environmental chemistry, including Environmental Science & Technology, Water Research, and Journal of Hazardous Materials. In recent years, he has published more than 50 papers in top journals such as Environmental Science & Technology, Water Research, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Gondwana Research, and Environmental Pollution, which have been reviewed more than 53,400 times. He has also presided over more than 10 research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, provincial and ministerial-level projects, and projects commissioned by enterprises.
