Cong Liu
Topic: Discovery of a new amyloid associated with neurodegenerative diseases in human brains
Professor Cong Liu graduated from Jilin University (2002) with a bachelor's degree and a Ph.D. degree from Peking University (2008) and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at UCLA & HHMI in the United States. At the end of 2013, Prof. Liu joined the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Center of Biology and Chemistry.
Professor Liu's research mainly focused on the mechanism of protein phase separation and phase transition, as well as the relationship between abnormal regulation and neurodegenerative diseases, and developed new methods of chemical intervention. Prof. Liu and his team discovered and elucidated structural polymorphic and their pathological significance in the aggregation of a-syn, a protein that causes Parkinson's disease. In recent years, he has published more than 40 papers as the corresponding author. Including Cell, Nature sub-journals (10 papers), Cell Research (5 papers), PNAS (6 papers), etc. Wrote several reviews and review articles for Nature series, Cell, Trends, etc.

Jian Wang
Topic: Neurodegenerative Proteinopathies: Considerations from Clinical Perspectives
Professor Jian Wang, Doctor of Clinical Medicine, Professor/Chief Physician, Ph.D. Supervisor. Deputy director of the Department of Neurology, Huashan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University. Prof. Wang is an expert member of the "Web Editorial Board" expert committee of the International Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Society (MDS), he is also a director of the Functional Neurological Disease Center of the National Medical Center for Neurological Diseases (Huashan).
Prof. Wang principally focused on clinical and basic research on Parkinson's disease and the long-term management of chronic diseases. He has published 119 SCI papers. Cell Res, Nat Commun, Mov Disord(3), J Nucl Med.
