Dr. Paolo Nardi has obtained a degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1996, and a Research Doctorate, PhD, in Transplantation in 2006 at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. He has been carrying out cardiac surgery as a specialist since 2005 at the Tor Vergata University. He has participated to International clinical trials, such as SHARP (Simultaneous Hybrid Revascularization by Carotid Stenting and Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting trial), STICH (Surgical Treatment for Ischemic Heart Failure), RED-CABG Trial (Effect of intracoronary acadesine admnistration for cardioplegic protection during coronary artery bypass surgery with extracorporeal circulation), Shering-Plough EU Acadesine (RED-CABG Trial); Multicenter trial (Policlinico Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy; Civil Hospital, Mirano, Italy; Heart Center, Hamburg, Germany) on simultaneous hybrid revascularization with internal carotid artery stenting and coronary artery bypass surgery, Multicenter international trial (Europe, Asia, America), etc. He has published over 100 original papers indexed in Pubmed, Scopus, Web of Science.
