Special Issue Introduction
This Special Issue aims to bring readers the up-to-date view of advancements in the scientific and technology innovations, translational and basic-science studies, and clinical trials of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs), a microvascular disorder in the central nervous system. This Special Issue plans to cover the most innovative technologies and scientific findings on this challenging neurovascular condition. Manuscripts range from original articles, case reports, commentaries, to expert reviews in the latest clinical and translational research on the health disparity, prevention, treatment, prognosis and diagnosis, and basic research in epidemiological, genetic, molecular, cellular mechanisms and pathophysiology of CCMs. Our focus also includes molecular and cell biology, systems biology in CCM signaling complex, protein structure and functions of CCM proteins. Furthermore, proposal for new drug and/or clinical trial, proof of concepts or new hypotheses in CCM research are also welcome.
