Soft yet durable textiles have been integral to human civilization, fulfilling critical roles throughout history. As a typical soft matter with hierarchical and easily programmable features, textile materials are currently playing increasingly functional roles in various emerging applications, including soft healthcare wearables and personalized smart protection, underscoring their evolving significance in modern society. This Special Issue invites submissions of original research, review articles, and perspectives that investigate the newest developments in meta-structure design, novel functionalities, advanced fabrication technologies, and innovative applications of smart textiles.
