Special Issue Introduction

As part of our ongoing commitment to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of women in academic research across diverse fields, we are thrilled to announce the launch of this Special Issue to showcase the exceptional work created, guided, and led by women scientists from around the globe. Our aim with this initiative is twofold: to highlight the influential role of women in our shared research endeavors and to honor their significant impact on shaping the scientific landscape and inspiring future generations of scientists.

This Special Issue is centered around original research articles, review papers, or perspectives on topics related to microsurgery, reconstructive surgery, maxillofacial surgery, lymphedema, breast reconstruction, body contouring, gender confirmation, head and neck reconstruction, laser treatment, orthopedic surgery, wound healing, ophthalmoplasty, dentistry, psychology, social ethics, and other medical disciplines associated with the postoperative complications in plastic surgery.
