Special Issue Introduction
The Special Issue on "Artificial Intelligence in Plastic Surgery" aims to serve as a cutting-edge forum for the dissemination of research, innovations, and insights at the intersection of artificial intelligence and plastic surgery. Under the esteemed editorial review of Prof. Roberto Cuomo, Prof. Warren Rozen, and Dr. Ishith Seth, this issue seeks to gather a wide array of scholarly papers that explore the multifaceted applications and implications of AI technologies in the field of plastic surgery. Open to submissions from researchers, clinicians, and innovators, this Special Issue is poised to cover a broad spectrum of topics including, but not limited to, AI-driven diagnostic tools, machine learning, deep learning, large language models, robotic surgery, personalized treatment planning, outcome prediction models, patient safety and satisfaction enhancements, and ethical considerations in the implementation of AI. The overarching objective is to showcase how AI can revolutionize aspects of plastic surgery patient care, surgical techniques, and clinical outcomes, pushing the boundaries of what is currently achievable in plastic surgery.
