Special Issue Introduction
The development of this type of surgery has gone through numerous phases, and to date, many techniques have been described. These include standard abdominoplasty, fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty, reverse abdominoplasty, and various combinations thereof, all aimed at enhancing outcomes while minimizing complications.
In recent years, new technologies have also been introduced to perform tummy tucks, significantly reducing associated complications.
Nonetheless, abdominoplasty, especially in post-bariatric patients, remains a highly intricate surgery carrying a high risk of complications.
We hope that this Special Issue will contribute to technical advancement and serve as a platform for professionals engaged in these surgeries - whether for aesthetic enhancements or reconstructive purposes - to exchange insights and compare their approaches.
