Special Topic Introduction

This Special Issue focuses on the multiple opportunities offered by hyaluronic acid fillers in facial remodelling and also in facial trauma or after major surgeries. In particular, my topic talks about profile, which is a line never enough evaluated both by the patient and the Doctor.

The amazing result that a forehead-nose-lip-chin-neck treatment can provide through different G-prime fillers is a must to keep in mind whenever we discuss a non-surgical treatment with our patinets. The lecture furthermore speaks about the severe complications that can occur during nasal or lip treatment and discuss how to manage them. This Special Issue includes the assessment on the composition of HA filler, the different medical devices we can use to perform injections and the ideal candidates for a profileplasty in terms of all identifiable facial categories of tissue skin and bone in an attempt to improve accuracy in assessing and treating patients.

Keywords

Hyaluronic acid fillers, profileplasty, facial contouring, injection safety, complications.
