Topic: Engineering nanobiomaterials for therapeutic applications in brain diseases, inflammation, and tumors

Brain diseases, inflammation, and tumors represent three of the most challenging frontiers in modern medicine, sharing complex pathological mechanisms and limited therapeutic options. Engineering nanobiomaterials has emerged as a transformative strategy to address these unmet clinical needs. This Special Issue brings together cutting-edge research on the rational design and engineering of nanobiomaterials for therapeutic applications in these interconnected disease areas. Contributions cover a broad spectrum of innovations, including stimuli-responsive nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery across the blood–brain barrier, immunomodulatory nanomaterials for precision regulation of neuroinflammation, and multifunctional nanoplatforms for combinatorial tumor therapy. Emphasis is placed on material–biology interactions, targeting specificity, biocompatibility, and translational potential. By bridging nanotechnology, materials science, and biomedicine, this collection aims to advance next-generation therapeutic solutions and inspire interdisciplinary collaboration toward clinical translation.
