Special Issue Introduction
Graphite is a key member of the non-metallic mineral family. Due to its special properties, such as high conductivity of heat and electricity, excellent lubrication, high-temperature resistance and thermal shock resistance, etc., graphite has been widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, machinery, electronics, aerospace, nuclear energy, national defense, and other industry.
This Special Issue concerning graphite will focus on a unique field of research in mineral materials. The aim is to update the advances in the mineralogical properties of graphite and its application in the new materials industry. Topics of discussion include mining and dressing, purification of natural graphite mineral, its deep processing technology, and a variety of new materials derived from graphite, such as graphene, nanographite, nanocomposite, etc.
