Topic: New Advances of Gene Editing in Cystic Fibrosis

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a severe genetic disorder that primarily affects the respiratory and digestive systems, caused by mutations in the CFTR gene. Despite progress in treatment, CF remains a life-threatening condition with no definitive cure. However, recent developments in gene editing technologies, such as CRISPR-Cas9, have opened promising new avenues for therapies aimed at correcting the underlying genetic defects responsible for CF. 

This Special Issue seeks to explore the latest research and breakthroughs in the Our goal is to provide a comprehensive overview of cutting-edge advancements in gene editing as they pertain to Cystic Fibrosis, with a focus on highlighting novel research findings, innovative approaches, and potential clinical applications that could pave the way for more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for CF.
