Special Issue
Topic: Motion Control for Intelligent Swarm Systems in Complex Environments
Guest Editor(s)
Special Issue Introduction
The rapid development of intelligent technology has unveiled immense potential for intelligent systems across various fields, including military operations, rescue missions, and environmental monitoring. The motion control of intelligent swarm systems in complex environments is particularly crucial, as it directly influences the flexibility, effectiveness, and safety of these systems. However, most existing systems still face challenges such as inefficiency and rigidity when dealing with complex environments. This limits the efficiency and reliability of intelligent swarm systems in practical applications.
To address these issues, this Special Issue seeks to explore the challenges intelligent systems face in various complex environments. It encourages research and application of transparent and efficient motion control algorithms to bridge the gap between theory and practice, enhancing the adaptability and stability of intelligent swarms in complex environments. Research in this area not only involves coordination and control of multiple agents but also plays a vital role in improving automation efficiency and decision-making quality.
This Special Issue will present a diverse array of research outcomes based on the latest theoretical frameworks and practical case studies, thus promoting deep collaboration between academia and industry. This will drive the integrated development of intelligent swarm systems, better meeting future technological demands.
We invite contributions covering a range of theoretical and experimental research that promotes the application of intelligent swarm systems in complex scenarios. Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
● Formation control;
● Collective intelligence;
● Autonomous obstacle avoidance;
● Swarm system modeling;
● Path planning;
● Swarm coordination;
● Motion control;
● Dynamic environment adaptation;
● Environment modeling and perception;
● Robot intelligence systems.
