Special Issue Introduction
In our modern world, the challenges, such as feeding a large population, deteriorating climate change, unsustainable development, and more, could lead to negative long-term impacts on human beings if not properly handled. To address these issues, the main goal of smart agriculture and PLA is to save labor, improve efficiency, ensure food safety, and foster sustainable agriculture practices, ultimately promoting healthy and eco-friendly productions for human beings. The main research topics include but are not limited to the technological and equipment innovation achievements of artificial intelligence and robotics technology in fields such as field planting, facility planting, livestock and poultry farming, and aquaculture. The Special Issue aims to explore and exchange the latest achievements in fundamental theoretical innovation, key technology research, and development in agriculture, animal husbandry, and aquaculture.
The topics include, but are not limited to:
● Smart agricultural sensors;
● Intelligent systems for agriculture;
● Robotics for agriculture and livestock farming;
● Drone technology in agriculture;
● Computer vision technology for agriculture;
● Intelligent phenotype acquisition technology for plants and animals;
● Intelligent breeding technology for animals and plants.
