Special Issue Introduction
Remanufacturing is an essential element of green manufacturing and an effective way of building a resource-saving, environmental-friendly society. Compared to traditional manufacturing, remanufacturing-based production systems have higher levels of uncertainty. Consumers' concern over the quality of remanufactured products and the uneven flow of reverse supply chains impact the performance of remanufacturing enterprises and their ability to compete in the market. This restricts the sustainable development of the remanufacturing industry. This Special Issue focuses on, but is not limited to, the following topics, and welcomes original research articles and comments to contribute to the development of the field:
● Reverse Logistics and waste management;
● Advanced remanufacturing technologies;
● Improvement of the remanufacturing-based production processes;
● Remanufacturing process control and optimization;
● Management issues in remanufacturing enterprises;
● Quality management of remanufactured products and high-quality development path for remanufacturing industry;
● Emerging concepts and perspectives to remanufacturing;
● Recycling and additive manufacturing;
● Remanufacturing in the supply chain.
