Special Issue Introduction

The advancement of energy storage technologies, notably fast-charging battery systems, is a critical area of research. Phosphorus-based materials have proven to be essential components, showcasing substantial promise in enhancing energy storage performance. The incorporation of phosphorus-based compounds into battery frameworks has unveiled diverse avenues for innovation, thereby expediting the evolution of high-speed charging solutions adaptable across diverse industries.

This Special Issue aims to underscore groundbreaking concepts in forging innovative electrode materials tailored for rapid-charging batteries. Topics of interest include the optimization of material structure and composition, surface treatment methods, electrode interfaces, and exploration of fundamental mechanisms. We invite submissions across multiple domains, spanning lithium-ion, sodium-ion, potassium-ion batteries, and supercapacitors. Original Research and Review articles are encouraged.
