Special Issue Introduction
Cities around the world are prone to several natural and human-made hazards, and effective risk analysis and reduction are only possible if all relevant threats are considered and analyzed. Nevertheless, the examination of multi-hazards poses a range of additional challenges due to the differing characteristics of processes. This Special Issue will focus on the issue for all aspects of multi-hazards and the construction of a policy support system that can help mitigate the effects of disasters for resilient mega-cities.
Aimed topics can be, but are not confined to:
Earthquake hazard and risk analysis
Wind field simulation for large-scale problems
Vulnerability assessment of typhoon in urban area
Rapid evaluation of urban fire risk
Life-cycle risk analysis of infrastructure systems
Community resilience under multi-hazards
Public safety management policy
