Special Issue Introduction
The Special Issue "Preparation, Characterisation and Application of Single Atom Catalysts" is dedicated to promoting the research of single atom catalysts (SACs) at theoretical, experimental and application levels. Recently, SACs have demonstrated great potential in various catalytic fields due to their maximum atomic efficiency and controllable coordination environment. Their unique geometric and electronic structure, distinct from bulk metals, results in different catalytic activity. Additionally, the catalytic activity of SACs can be regulated by their composition and coordination, presenting more opportunities for their development and application. Therefore, developing new methods, principles and strategies for the preparation, characterisation and application of SACs is highly desired. This Special Issue invites Original Research Articles, Reviews, Perspectives, and Highlights covering a wide range of topics within the realm of SACs. Topics of interest include but are not limited to, the design and development, representational means, application areas, catalytic principles, and theoretical predictions of novel SACs.
Keywords
