Special Topic Introduction
Nowadays, sectors including modern industry, intelligent transportation and high-end equipment manufacturing are undergoing profound transformation toward intelligence, integration and networking. As core supporting disciplines of modern engineering systems, control engineering and intelligent algorithms are facing unprecedented development opportunities and application challenges. Conventional single control frameworks and basic computational algorithms can hardly meet the operational requirements of complex engineering scenarios. Modeling of complex systems, high-precision control, iterative optimization of intelligent algorithms and coordinated operation of multi-devices have become mainstream development trends of the industry.
In key fields such as industrial automation, autonomous driving, robotics, embedded systems and the Internet of Things, control theories are deeply integrated with state-of-the-art algorithms. Such integration not only addresses stability control issues of linear and nonlinear systems, but also leverages cutting-edge technologies including machine learning, deep learning and swarm intelligence to realize sophisticated functions such as massive data processing, multi-source information fusion, autonomous fault diagnosis and dynamic path planning.
This special issue is anchored on the 10th International Forum on Control Engineering and Advanced Algorithms 2026, an international academic event focusing on control engineering and advanced algorithms. The forum serves as a communication platform connecting universities, research institutes and engineering enterprises worldwide. It brings together global experts, scholars and engineers for academic discussions, technical exchanges and research result sharing.
