2023 One Health Summit

The 2023 One Health Summit was successfully held in Xi'an, Shaanxi, China on April 22-25, 2023. The summit was directed by the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, hosted by OAE Publishing Inc., co-hosted by the Chinese Consortium for One Health, and academically supported by the One Health Implementation Research (OHIR) journal affiliated with OAE Publishing Inc. and the Science in One Health (SOH) journal co-edited by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Elsevier.

The summit set up 8 sub-forums, gathered many industry experts and scholars in the field of zoonoses and ecological health to have carried out 74 special academic reports, and attracted more than 300 guests from research institutes, universities, and organizations from all over the country to attend on-spot. In their respective research fields, the speakers and attending experts conducted interdisciplinary dialogues on issues related to one health. This summit has provided a platform for the academic community to explore cutting-edge issues related to one health and share research results and application technology.

The summit was honored to invite Academician Daiming Fan to deliver a speech. With the theme of "Holistic Integrative Medicine", he shared many cutting-edge health concepts and knowledge with the experts and scholars. During the summit, Prof. Xiao-Nong Zhou, who served as the chairman, together with Prof. Lihua Xiao, Prof. Xing-Quan Zhu, Prof. Kun Yang and other guests, conducted in-depth academic exchanges on health-related topics and shared their cutting-edge research results. Their report not only opened the curtain for this conference but also laid the foundation for the successful holding of the 8 sub-forums. Moreover, Mr. Min Fan, the CEO of OAE Publishing Inc., gave a keynote speech on the development trends, opportunities and challenges of open access.

With the cooperation and support of all partners, the four-day summit was successfully held. We are very grateful for their joint efforts and contributions, which provided an important guarantee for the smooth progress of the conference. At the same time, we would like to thank all the experts and scholars who participated in the conference; their wonderful reports and in-depth discussions during the summit benefited the participating colleagues a lot.
