Exploring Emerging Trends in Extracellular Vesicle Research

Extracellular Vesicles and Circulating Nucleic Acids (EVCNA), a flagship journal of OAE Publishing Inc., was represented at the joint APSEV 2026 and JSEV 2026 conference, held on October 22–23, 2026, at the JP Tower Hall & Conference in Tokyo, Japan. Centered on the theme "Beyond Exosomes: Emerging Advances for Biomedical Applications," the conference brought together researchers from around the world to discuss recent developments in extracellular vesicle (EV) biology, biomedical applications, and the clinical translation of EV research.

Building Connections with the EV Research Community

Margie Ma, Publisher at OAE Publishing Inc., attended the conference to learn about current developments in EV research and connect with researchers in the field. Her conversation with attendees helped raise EVCNA's profile among researchers and provided insight into current research priorities and expectations for scholarly publishing.

The conference also provided an opportunity to identify potential topics for future Special Issues, explore academic partnerships, and strengthen EVCNA's ties with the international EV research community. Through participation in international scientific events, OAE continues to support academic exchange and advance the dissemination of research on extracellular vesicles and related biomedical disciplines.

Conference Special Issue

In connection with the joint APSEV 2026 and JSEV 2026 conference, EVCNA is launching a Special Issue entitled "Beyond Exosomes: Advances in Extracellular Vesicle Research and Applications." Guest Editors are Professor Takahiro Ochiya, Dr. Yusuke Yoshioka, and Dr. Nao Nishida Aoki. The issue aims to feature research on extracellular vesicles from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, promote international academic exchange and collaboration, and strengthen EVCNA's engagement with the EV research community.
