Bio
Prof. Mao received his PhD at the University of Birmingham and realized his post-doctorate at the University of Hertfordshire. He is the Professor in Urban Air Pollution at Nankai University, Director of the Urban Transport Emission Control Research Centre, Tianjin, China (2013-present);
Vice Technical Director (Transport & Environment) of China Automotive Technology & Research Center (2009-2013); senior consultant (Air Quality & Emission) in the C4S, Transport Research Laboratory (TRL, United Kingdom, 2006-2009). His research activities cover: (1)development of vehicle pollution control technology; (2) energy transition and carbon emissions in transportation sector; (3) vehicle emission inventory with high spatio-temporal resolution; (4) source apportionment of urban air pollutants; (5) air quality modelling and forecast; (6) traffic-related human exposures and health effects., etc.
