Prof. Guang-Yan Qing is a group leader of Bio-separation and Interfacial Molecule Mechanism Group in Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics.
He received his doctor degree from the College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences at Wuhan University (China) in 2008. Then he joined the Bio- and Nano-Interface group at the Physics Institute, Muenster University (Germany), as a postdoctoral researcher under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Taolei Sun (owner of Sofja Kovalevskaja Award). From 2011 to 2017, he worked at the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Technology for Materials Synthesis and Processing, at Wuhan University of Technology (China), as a Chutian Distinguished Professor of Hubei Province, China. In 2018, he created an independent research group in Key Laboratory of Separation Science for Analytical Chemistry, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has received Liaoning Revitalization Talents Program Award in 2018 and Dalian Outstanding Young Scientific Talent Award in 2020.
He has published more than 100 SCI papers, including J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Nat. Commun., Chem. Sci., Chem. Soc. Rev., NPG Asia Mater., etc. with more than 2000 citations and an H index of 26. He is the principal leader of more than 20 research projects.
Prof. Qing’s current research fields include polymer synthesis, smart polymers, supramolecular chemistry, bio-interfaces, bio-separation materials, and post-translational modification proteomics.
