Bio
Prof. Pan Xiong is a Professor of Chemistry at Nanjing University of Science and Technology.

He obtained his PhD degree from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China in 2015. He was a visiting PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin with Prof. Guihua Yu followed by working as a JSPS postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan with Prof. Takayoshi Sasaki and then a research associate at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia with Prof. Guoxiu Wang. Then, he joined Nanjing University of Science and Technology as a full professor in 2019. He has received Jiangsu Specially Appointed Professor in 2021, Jiangsu Province, China.

He has published more than 40 SCI papers in Nat. Commun., Adv. Mater., Energy Environ. Sci., etc. with more than 2600 citations and an H index of 30.

Prof. Xiong’s research focuses on two-dimensional nanomaterials and their heterostructures/superlattices for energy conversion and storage applications.
