Bio
Dr.Yong Liu is a Professor of International School of Materials Science and Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology.

He obtained his doctor degree from Fudan University (with Prof. Dongyuan Zhao), China in 2015. From Jun. 2015 to Oct. 2016, he worked as a postdoc fellow (with Prof. Dongyuan Zhao) in Fudan University. From Oct. 2016 to Nov. 2019, He worked as a postdoc fellow (with Prof. Peidong Yang) at Department of Chemistry, University of California, Berkeley. Since Nov. 2019, he works as a professor at the International School of Materials Science and Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology. He has received 2014 Dow Sustainability Innovation Challenge Award, 2016 International Postdoctoral Exchange Fellowship program (No.20160051), 2020 Hubei Hundred Talents Program.

He has published more than 30 SCI papers in top international academic journals, including Science Adv., J. Am. Chem. Soc., ACS Cent. Sci., etc. His papers have more than 1900 citations with an H index of 24.

Prof. Yong Liu’s current research focuses on (i) Rational design of novel ultrathin two-dimensional semiconductor heterojunctions/superlattice with novel interface effect and optoelectronic properties. (ii) Interfacial self-assembly, morphology design and controllable synthesis of novel semiconductor materials with integrated nanoscale to macroscale functionalities.
