Bio
Prof. Gengtao Fu is a Professor of Chemistry at Nanjing Normal University.

Gengtao Fu obtained his PhD at School of Chemistry and Materials Science at Nanjing Normal University in 2017. He spent one year (2015–2016) as a visiting scholar at The University of Texas at Austin in USA. In 2017-2019, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Prof. Jong-min Lee’ group at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He then continued his career as a postdoctoral fellow at The University of Texas at Austin in USA with Prof. John B. Goodenough (2019–2020). Then, he joined Nanjing Normal University as a full professor from 2021 to now. He has received Jiangsu Specially Appointed Professor in 2021, Jiangsu Province, China.

He has published more than 100 SCI papers in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., Nano Lett., Nano Energy, Chem. Sci., Appl. Catal. B Environ., Energy Storage Mater., Small etc. with more than 6600 citations and an H index of 48. He also is an Editorial Board member of Catalysts, an Early Career Advisory Board member of Materials Today Energy, and a Youth Editorial Board member of Advanced Powder Materials.

Prof. Fu’s current research fields include the synthesis and the property study of energy materials for energy conversion and storage.

fuel cells, metal-air batteries, electrocatalysis, transition metal materials, noble-metal materials, structure-performance relationships.
