Prof. Xinchen Kang is a distinguished Professor of Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He obtained his bachelor degree in materials chemistry from Shandong University, China in 2011. He pursued his PhD degree under the supervision of Prof. Buxing Han at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS), China and obtained his doctor degree in materials science in 2016. He then worked in The University of Manchester, UK as a Royal Society research fellow from 2017. After his back from UK, he joined ICCAS as a full professor from 2021 to now. He has received Newton International Fellowship (UK), the Special Award of President (CAS), the Excellent PhD Dissertation (CAS), Special Youth Scientific Award (ICCAS), etc.
He has published more than 30 SCI papers, and all his first-author papers published in first class journals including Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Chem. Sci., Green Chem. and Chem. Commun., and many paper are selected as VIP papers, highlight papers and highly cited papers.
Prof. Kang’s current research fields include phase behavior and microstructure of complicated ionic liquid systems; material synthesis and heterogeneous catalysis in green solvents; electro-synthesis of materials and electrocatalysis; design and synthesis of metal-organic frameworks and their applications.
