Congratulations: Professor Yuan-Ting Zhang, Editor-in-Chief of CHATmed, Receives Williams J. Morlock Award from IEEE-EMBS

Prof. Yuan-Ting Zhang, Editor-in-Chief of the journal Connected Health And Telemedicine (CHATmed), has been honored with the prestigious William J. Morlock Award by the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS). This esteemed award is recognized as one of the highest honors bestowed by the EMBS and celebrates Prof. Zhang's outstanding contributions to the field of unobtrusive and wearable technologies.

EMBS, the world's largest and most influential international society of biomedical engineers, has a long-standing history of recognizing outstanding achievements in the field. The William J. Morlock Award is presented biennially to individuals who have made original and groundbreaking contributions by applying electronic techniques and concepts to solve biomedical problems.

Throughout its 67-year history, this distinguished award has been granted to only 14 recipients worldwide, making it a truly remarkable achievement. Prof. Zhang is the first  scholar whose work was conducted in Asian countries in the field of biomedical engineering to receive this esteemed honor since its establishment in 1956.

The award ceremony will take place during the opening ceremony of the 45th Annual International Conference of the IEEE-EMBS (EMBC'23) on July 24th, 2023, in Sydney, Australia. This conference is set to attract approximately 3,000 delegates from nearly 80 countries, providing a global platform to exchange ideas, recognize the outstanding individuals in the field including to celebrate Prof. Zhang's remarkable accomplishments.
