Special Topic Introduction
Cardiovascular aging is a primary contributor to the development and progression of cardiovascular diseases. While aging itself is a non-modifiable risk factor, there are molecular aspects that can be targeted to develop tailored therapies for age-related cardiovascular conditions. In this context, our Special Issue seeks to publish both clinical and preclinical research focused on the drivers of cardiovascular aging. We welcome submissions of both research articles and review papers addressing, but not limited to, the following topics:
● Genetic and epigenetic drivers of cardiovascularaging and diseases;
● Metabolic drivers of cardiovascular aging and diseases;
● Inflammatory drivers of cardiovascular aging and diseases;
● Lifestyle factors and their impact on cardiovascular aging and diseases;
● Approaches/therapeutics targetingthe drivers of cardiovascular aging and diseases;
● Artificial intelligence (AI)applications for predicting/remodeling drivers of cardiovascular aging and diseases;
● Inter-organ communication in cardiovascular aging and diseases.
