Topic: Research on the Microstructure and Performance of Perovskite Materials

Metal halide perovskite materials have recently captured great attention because of their excellent properties such as high absorptivity, convenient bandgap tunability, ambipolar charge transportability, small traps, and solution processability. Hence, they can apply to solar cells, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), phosphors, image sensors, cosmic and X-ray detectors, resistive random-access memories, thermoelectrics, triboelectrics, supercapacitors, catalysts, batteries, etc. Most of all, their physical, chemical, and optoelectronic properties and performances strongly depend on their microstructures and dimensionality. Accordingly, the Special Issue mainly focuses on the correlation of microstructure and dimension (0D, 1D, 2D, and 3D) with the performance of metal halide perovskites. The scope includes not only the perovskite materials themselves but also electrode, charge transporting, interlayer, and interface materials if their microstructures and dimensions correlate to the performance of metal halide perovskites. We welcome contributions from research scientists in academia, industry, and government institutes. 

Microstructure control and dimensional engineering for the metal halide perovskites and the related materials will give insight into designing materials for optimized performance. We anticipate that this Special Issue boosts and extends the research in this field and fosters knowledge exchange among leading experts.
