Topic: Secure and Dependable Computing

Web-based systems are playing an increasingly important role in all aspects of our society, including governments, businesses, and individuals. These systems underpin essential daily services we rely on, such as financial activities (e.g., online banking and stock trading), e-commerce platforms (e.g., online shopping), civil infrastructure management (e.g., electric power grid and traffic control), entertainment options (e.g., online gaming and multimedia streaming), and personal data storage through various cloud-based solutions (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive). The security dependability of such systems is crucial not only for businesses but also for individuals. The negative impacts of system failures and security breaches can be enormous, often resulting in significant financial losses and reputation damage.

This Special Issue invites contributions from researchers and practitioners to collectively explore, discuss, and advance the state-of-the-art in secure and dependable computing. Some of the key areas covered include:

Academics, research students, and professionals are invited to submit original work. Extended conference papers are also welcome if revised and contain at least 50% new content (including the previously published proceedings paper).
