Special Issue Introduction

As an ideal secondary energy source with high energy density, hydrogen energy is considered an ideal energy carrier. In the context of carbon neutrality, hydrogen energy is the category of new energy that is most closely integrated with the existing business of the oil and gas industry, and it is also one of the best ways to help the oil and gas industry achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality at an early date. However, with the decline of fossil fuel production and the deepening of the concept of sustainable development, the hydrogen market of the Hydrogen Club will form a diversified hydrogen supply pattern, with renewable energy (Solar photocatalytic hydrogen production, thermochemical hydrogen production, solar photoelectrocatalytic hydrogen production, water electrolysis, etc.) as the mainstay, supplemented by hydrogen from coal, biomass, and so on. Therefore, it is urgent to actively develop and explore Advanced Hydrogen Production Technologies and Materials.

Hydrogen is the most important clean and renewable energy. Hydrogen Production Technologies and Materials have a very broad application prospect in solving energy and environmental challenges.

Specific areas to be covered include, but are not limited to:
● Advancements in hydrogen production;
● Advanced hydrogen technologies;
● Hydrogen-related materials and technologies;
● Design and fabrication of advanced hydrogen-related materials.

Keywords

Advancements in hydrogen production, advanced hydrogen technologies, hydrogen materials and technologies, design and fabrication of advanced materials
